Creating a common foundation in care (CCFC) using the European Care Certificate (ECC)

This is a Leonardo project, building upon the product of the first ECC project, which developed and tested the Basic European Social Care Learning Outcomes (BESCLO) and the ECC examination. The ECC is awarded to anyone who successfully completes the examination and so can demonstrate that they have good knowledge and understanding of all the BESCLOs (click on the BESCLO link for more information).

This project has a variety of member organisations in 16 different nations  and over 2,000 individuals across the European Union have successfully passed the ECC exam and are holders of the ECC.

In Ireland, the lead partner is the Discipline of Health Promotion, National University of Ireland Galway.
